| R.V English Medium School,
as it was called of old, the Government Higher Secondary School
has had a glorious past. Even before the Higher Secondary Section
came into being, the school shone bright on the horizon of education.
The earliest English Medium School in Travancore and one of
the earliest in the state, the High School Section was started
in 1857 A.D (1033 ME). Headed by some of the most illustrious
head masters of those times, the school spread knowledge all
around. After a temporary shifting of premises to Chertalla,
the school returned with renewed vigour to its hometown of Paravur
in 1872 A.D (1048 ME). |
